What travels have shaped you?
For Justin Yong, the Toronto-based artist behind this striking quilt, Yangshuo in southern China’s Guangxi region is one of those places. Known for its dramatic, curvy karst mountain landscape bordering the Li River, Justin visited Yangshuo during the annual Qingming Festival, which allowed him to feel connected to the culture and nature.
Meet this lovely handmade quilt created by Justin and inspired by this beautiful town. Harnessing his ability to create incredibly unique, detailed, and colorful compositions, he designed this piece with memories and the nature of Yangshuo in mind, from the red paper scraps and candles that filled the city during the festival to the incredible landscape of the mountains and river.
This quilt is a part of a six-piece one of one collection of quilts inspired by places from above and the travels that have shaped Little Goodies co-founder Danny Jestakom and multidisciplinary artist Justin Yong.
Make it an extra special gift, a standout piece on your bed, or hung up to admire on a wall.
