Janie Korn

New York

Meet our friend: Janie Korn, the New York and LA-based wax sculptor and artist behind our one-of-a-kind collection of candle sculptures inspired by candy and cartoons.

Janie's magic candles explore the curious and distinctive nature of distant memories, from things and people close to our hearts to fantastical sculptures commenting on today's culture. Her unique ability to capture nostalgia makes her work come alive, unlike anything we've seen before.

Cartoons & Candy, our collection of candle sculptures in collaboration with Janie, take cues from our carefree days of watching cartoons and eating candy as a kid. Inspired by the shows we all know and love, the cartoon candles reference the credits and musical numbers of Looney Tunes and the anthropomorphic characters featured in cartoons by Max Fleischer Studios. Fruitfuls inspire the candy candles; the classic wrapped, crinkly hard candies you would find in a bowl on the coffee table at your friend's or aunt's house. Every piece is handmade by Janie in her studio and exclusive to Little Goodies.

About Janie and her work: Based in New York and LA, Janie's works are rooted in nostalgia and the study of object permanence.

Her works have appeared in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Vogue, among others. In addition, she has worked with brands and retailers like UnitedMasters, SSENSE, and the Brooklyn Museum.
