The Deanna Napkin Set
Which women in film and television made a mark on you?
To Jeanie Kirk, Co-Founder of Madre Linen, it was Deanna Troi, the counselor and lieutenant commander aboard the USS Enterprise-D starship from the sci-fi cult phenomenon and hit TV series and films, Star Trek: The Next Generation. Born half Betazoid and half human, Troi was known for her empathic powers and psionic ability to sense emotions.
Deanna’s empathetic abilities and voice of conscience were magnetic to Jeanie. She loved how Deanna harnessed her superpowers to decipher motives and provide guidance invaluable in keeping the Starfleet safe.
Meet The Deanna Napkin Set, an ode to Deanna and her radical empathy. This napkin features a brown gingham pattern and a teal trim reminiscent of Deanna’s iconic uniform.
The Deanna Napkin Set is part of Madres on Screen, an exclusive and one-of-a-kind collection of linen napkins in collaboration with MADRE, the Portland-based brand known for everyday home essentials. The collection features five limited-edition sets of four napkins with vibrant trims inspired by women on the big and small screen, each chosen by MADRE Co-Founders Shay and Jeanie and Little Goodies Co-Founders Danny and Phil.
Every MADRE napkin is made of 100% linen grown in Belgium and woven in a Lithuanian mill that runs on green energy. In addition, the fabric is Oeko-Tex certified, and every piece is designed and sewn in Portland, Oregon.
